Solution
To configure your mobile phone for Email access, follow the guide below.
- Go to your�Messenging
- From the�Menu option, click on�Tools
- Select�New Account...
- In the�E-mail address field, enter your�email address
- Uncheck the option for "Try�to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet"
- Click on�next
- From the Your e-mail provider drop-down menu, select�Internet e-mail
- Click on�next
- In the Your name field, enter the�name that you want your receiptent to see (eg. John Leong)
- In the Account display name field, enter the�name you want to uniquely identify the account (Ignore if not sure)
- Click on�next
- In the Incoming mail server field, enter�mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name)
- From the Account type drop down, select�IMAP4
- Click on�next
- In the User name field, enter your�full email address
- In the Password field, enter your�email password
- In the Outgoing (SMTP) mail server field, enter�mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name)
- Check the option for Outgoing server requires authentication
- Check the option for Use the same user name and password for sending e-mail
- Ignore the Advanced Server Settings
- Click on�next
- From the Automatic Send/Receive drop down menu, select your send and receive frequency (recommended:�Manually)
Note: Setting a very low Send/Receive frequency like 2mins will increase your Mobile Internet charges
- Click on Advanced Setting (Ignore if not sure)
- Click on�Finish
You have completed the setup process.
To check your email
- From the account drop down menu (Located top left of Messenger), choose your�email account (default: yourdomain.com)
- From the Menu option, click on�Send/Receive
- Watch your email flow in.
